life in the pack: mardi gras

Posted by

The culture in Louisiana is so incredibly unique- and nothing makes that more obvious than Mardi Gras! This year (and the past 7 years), we celebrated family style (aka: minus the booze and binges) and opted for a G-rated party that our kids could enjoy. Here are the highlights: [caption id="attachment_173" align="alignnone" width="300" caption="All hail the Queen of Mardi Gras!"][/caption] [caption id="attachment_174" align="alignnone" width="300" caption="Sweet big brother helps Alice at her very first Mardi Gras parade"][/caption] [caption id="attachment_176" align="alignnone" width="300" caption=""Throw me something, mister!""][/caption] [caption id="attachment_175" align="alignnone" width="300" caption=""Somebody, throw me something, Mister?""][/caption] [caption id="attachment_177" align="alignnone" width="300" caption="All in a day's work..."][/caption] Eventually, they threw him some beads- and then he fell asleep in the middle of the party... Always the sign of a good time. XOXO, Sarah
